Quote of the day.

Hip, hip, hooray for Thursday! I don't know about you but this week has been dragging for me, I am definitely happy that it is almost the weekend. I enjoyed some good family time last night with my parents, Kyle, my sister and my nephews. The Manfriend and I went over to my parents house after work to see my sister and her boys before they head home to Cape May, New Jersey. I love being able to spend time with them and I hate that I don't see them enough.

I can't wait to enjoy a nice run after work and maybe some yoga, to get my mind right. Yoga always calms my mind when it's over thinking. Some exciting news, it's official, I am once again coaching for Team in Training, this time I will be coaching the Rock and Roll 10k in Brooklyn this October. This is a Co-Ed race and it will be the first time I'm coaching guys, it should be interesting to say the least. When I sent in my coaching contract it got me thinking, I haven't run one marathon this year, compared to the four I ran last year, what's up with that? So I'm thinking a marathon is in order to finish off the year. I'm not sure which one I'm going to do and I know I have to decide soon because training is right around the corner. If anyone has any suggestions, would you be so kind and let me know.

 Good Luck!

Last night, when the manfriend and I got home from my parents house we turned on the ESPYS on ESPN (we're such sport's nuts) and that is where today's quote comes from. Kiefer Sutherland was announcing the recipient of the Arthur Ashe Award for Courage and when he talked about Arthur,(A late, great tennis player.) he used one of his amazing quotes. This particular quote gave me the chills and even though it is only four words long, it is so powerful, it moved me.

Right now, I am trying to get my yoga business up and running (which hasn't been as easy as I'd like), waiting to hear where my manfriend will be playing next year, trying to train for upcoming races, practice yoga, spend time on my blog, while working a 9 to 5 as an office lead at Abercrombie and Fitch, it's a little stressful to say the least, I'm not looking for any sympathy from you guys, I choose to be busy. But because I am busy sometimes I get thrown off course of the path I'm trying to take, sometimes life just gets in the way of my vision.

I've realized that the path you choose is never going to be an easy one,a straight shot, things are always going to come up and there will always be bumps along the way. You just have to stay positive and know that it might not go exactly as you planned, it could in fact turn out even better then you've ever thought imaginable. Life has a funny way of testing you and if you work super hard, the reward will be so deserving.

Enjoy!

Stick to your mission.
-Arthur Ashe

Haha thanks girl, it used to be just a "daily outfit" blog, so I recently tried switching it up to other things because I really love writing!
