Quote of the day. + A Nice Tune.

Hey there lovers, happy Tuesday! It's ridiculously cool here in New York, definitely not your typical June weather but I'll take it. Weather like this is perfect for running, the run I had last night was amazing and I finally feel like I'm in a great running groove. I have to thank my Manfriend for always motivating me to get out the door after a long day of work when all I want to do is come home and veg out. He knows the goals I set for myself can't be achieved overnight and that training is key. If it weren't for him I'm sure I be a little more lazy then I'd care to admit.

I received some great news, because of the success of the first race I coached for Team in Training, they asked me back! I'm so excited to be coaching another event for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This will be my first time coaching men, and I am a little nervous, I want them to know that i mean business. The race is the inaugural Rock and Roll Brooklyn 10k in October, it's so great to be part of the first running of this race. I am hoping to get 60 people to sign up, train and raise money for LLS. William Watch 2011: Day 2! This little guy is getting riper and riper as the days progress. Soon to be mommy Lia, is feeling great and soon to be daddy Brendan, is looking more and more nervous as the days tick away. I'm so excited for the two of them, who by the way are going to make amazing parents.

Today's quote comes from one of my favorite Beatles songs, The Long and Winding Road. Right now this is my jam as I train for the Timberman Half Ironman. I relate the words to a dream I have and how it is a long and winding road to reach that desired dream. I guess you can also relate it to life in general. Life is a crazy path, there will be twists and turns and bumps and detours all together. But if you work hard, surround yourself with people who believe in your dreams, and really believe in yourself, that long and winding road will eventually straighten out and take you wherever you want to go.

Enjoy!

The long and winding road,
That leads to your door,
Will never disappear,
I've seen that road before,
It always leads me here,
Lead me to your door.
-The Beatles, The Long and Winding Road

I also included the song for your listening pleasure. Have a great day!

Nervous? I don't think I look nervous at all. If anything, I am the opposite of nervous. Pretty calm.
