Quote of the day.

Good morning loves, what a historic day for my fellow New Yorkers, Americans and people all over the world looking for peace, with the news of the death of Osama Bin Ladin. Because of my jet lag from traveling I fell asleep rather early last night only to be woken up by a call from my sister, she told me what she had just heard and I started to cry and turned on the news. I can't even begin to explain the feelings that were running through me, I was actually happy which I thought I would never feel over the death of a someone, I felt extremely sad because it brought me right back to that Tuesday morning my sophomore year in high school when I watched my city crumble from my classroom, and above all I felt worry. Ever since September 11th I have become a huge worrier, I told my mom last night that because of Osama Bin Ladin I am the way I am, a nervous wreck more times then I'd care to admit.

You'll Never Leave Us.

We have waited ten years for this and maybe now we can finally breathe a little easier. My family and I were extremely affected by the acts on September 11th, I had friends that lost family members and as time went on it hasn't gotten easier knowing that that man could still be out there, basically getting away with murder. I'm happy he's not in this world anymore. I'm so proud of our troops, I'm so happy to see Americans coming together and saluting our great nation and above all, I am so proud to be a New Yorker. I love my city and I mourned her for the last decade and now I finally feel that closure that all New Yorkers have been desperately searching for. I hold my head high and I am excited to be part of this new chapter in American history. God Bless America

Today's quote comes from the late and great American author, Mark Twain. I found this quote extremely fitting for what just happened. Like I said earlier in this post, I never thought I would be happy with the death of a man but I guess this man was the only exception. Remember above all, PEACE is the way.

Enjoy!
