Quote of the day.

Happy Hump Day beauties! It's a beautiful day here in New York City, I hope it's a great one for you. I can't wait to get in a great run after work today, I'm feeling so strong these days, I am really enjoying this crazy training.

Yesterday after work the Manfriend and I headed to the FDNY baseball game, where Kyle's cousin, Patty, was pitching. We only stayed for three innings because it started pouring on us, but we got to see Patty pitch and he did a great job. We then went to our favorite Mexican spot on the Island, Mezcals. Oh my gosh this food is so yummy, a little pricey, but yummy none the less. It was nice to go out to eat on a random Tuesday, usually because of my work and training sessions, we save going out for the weekends.

After a really nice dinner, we went home only to find that our favorite sports movie, Rudy, was on. I can't tell you how much I love this movie, not only for it's amazing story but because it's filmed all throughout South Bend, Indiana and the Notre Dame campus. Every time I watch Rudy, it brings me right back to the start of the Manfriend's and my relationship, it literally gives me chills. I am so happy that Kyle went to such an amazing university with so much history. Since he has graduated we've made it a point to get back to South Bend every year and reminisce. The Manfriend is actually heading out to Notre Dame this weekend to be part of the University's Basketball Camp. I'm bummed that I can't be out there, but hopefully we'll get another opportunity to go before summer's end.

William Watch 2011: Day 3! Still nothing, Lia went to the doctor's last night, she isn't have contractions yet. Boo! I want this baby to get here, I think my guesstimate of Will getting here on the 18th, is looking less and less likely. I must reevaluate. And before I forget, I must retract a statement made yesterday in regards to my brother being nervous about William's arrival. He's not so much nervous, he just wants to make sure everything is in order before Will gets here. I hope my retraction makes him happy.

Today's quote is a marvelous one, it comes from author, Sarah Dessen. It's great when you find a quote and realize that you are not the only person going through something. I've worked very hard to get to this point in my life, I'm a running coach, about to start a yoga business, and training for a Half Ironman, these are all things I've desired to do for a really long time. Now that they are all falling into place, it really scares me. I have this problem, I am a nervous person and I sometimes believe things really can't be a good as they seem. But I am learning, the more I work hard, give back, and help others along your journey that things really do pay off.

Enjoy!

The thing is, it's a big deal when you finally get the chance to do the one thing you want to do-need to do-more than anything. It can kind of scare the crap out of you.
