Live. Laugh. Love. Succeed.

Happy Thursday Lovers, I am up writing to you early today from Limoges. The manfriend left for his two days on the road, busing up to Lille for his game tomorrow night, I am going to miss him. I woke up to the sweetest note from my guy, which only makes me love him more. In the meantime, I'm enjoying a nice cup of coffee, (Can you believe I'm Starbucks free for almost two weeks!) listening to the new Coldplay album, Mylo Xyloto, which is amazing and I will definitely be writing a piece on Coldplay shorty, and catching up with you. Have a fantastic Thursday, be great today!

Sweet note my manfriend left for me.

I have some exciting news, my manfriend has the weekend off, so we are taking advantage of the time off and going on a little European Adventure. With the Europe at our fingertips thanks to the trains and cheap inter european flights, we didn't know where we should travel to this weekend. We narrowed it down to three picks; Paris, Barcelona and London. These are all places I am dying to see along with a list of other destinations. We polled our friends and family and it came down to Barcelona and Paris, London will be saved for when the manfriend and I are homesick and need to hear some English speakers. With much consideration, we decided that our first trip will be to, PARIS!!! We figured just like last year in Greece, we should see all that France has to offer us, before we head outside of the country and maybe also because it's FREAKING PARIS!!!

To travel to Paris is a dream that I never imagined coming true. I want to visit Paris for so many reasons. Clearly the history, the sights, the food and wine but mainly because I am a fashion lover and Paris is the birth of so many great fashion houses, I may cry when we stop by and see Coco Chanel's house. (Seriously!) To be able to go to Paris with Kyle is also a dream come true, it's the City of Love and I will be with my love, taking it all in. Below is a list of all the things I hope to see and do while in Paris this weekend. If you have any suggestions on must see spots and things to do, please leave a comment.

Things I need to do while in Paris.
In no particular order.
  • See the Eiffel Tower. (During the day and at night.)
  • Visit the Notre Dame Cathedral.
  • Sit at a sidewalk cafe`, sip wine and take a black and white photo. (A request that my Uncle Kevin made.)
  • See the Louvre.
  • Walk next to the Seine.
  • Visit the Pont de l'ArchevĂȘchĂ©, the "Love-Lock" wall.
  • Walk down the Champs Elysee.
  • Buy a baguette and eat it while walking through the city.
  • Go into Chanel and buy something. (A lipstick, haha)
  • Visit the Gardens of Versailles.
  • See the Catacombs of Paris.
  • Visit the Shakespeare and Company Bookstore
  • Find a cafe` and eat delicious pastries, just like Carrie did in Sex in the City. (I'm such an American Toursit!)
I think the one thing that tops this list of things to see, will have to wait until a spring visit to Paris. As a child, I had a fansination and still do with the painter, Claude Monet. I had a print of Monet's, Lily Pad, painting hanging over my bed, I had numerous books on his work. And it's always been a dream to go see Claude's cottage, gardens and lily pad pond. It's just 80km outside of Paris and this is a trip I am definitely taking while living in France.

This weekend will be a magical one, despite the rain they are forecasting for Paris, it's not going to stop us from having an amazing time. I will be sure to capture Paris through the lens of my Nikon D3000. I can't wait to share my adventure with you.

Today's quote was inspired by our upcoming trip to Paris. It comes from Fashion Designer, Icon and Legend, Coco Chanel. This woman was way ahead of her time, and she paved the way for women all over the world, through her fashion and modern thoughts. This quote is about success, I absolutely love it! In life, we should not be afraid to fail, we should dream big and strive for success. The people who are most successful in life, are the people who don't even think of failing, they block it out of their minds.

So think positively, go for it. You've been given this life and it's yours to live. Pardon my French but fuck negativity and failure. The only thing holding yourself back from being who you desire to become is yourself. So stop putting your life on hold, and start doing.

Profitez de mes amours!

Success is often achieved by those who don't know that failure is inevitable.
-Coco Chanel
