Be Kind.

Thank god it's Friday, TGIF!!! Even though the weather is quite dreary here in New York City, I'm not bothered because I know the weekend is approaching. Have a great weekend lovers, make it a productive one as always, tackle something and spend some time doing something you love doing.

Last night I enjoy a yummy dinner at my brother and sister-in-law's apartment, I love it there, especially since I get to hang out with the cutest two month old I know, William Beckett. After dinner I headed back to my place just in time to watch, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, this show is hilarious and I was laughing from beginning to end. Also there is something about Charlie Day's character, Charlie that I just love, maybe it's the scruff.

One week left in the Jeans and Tees and Travel and Cakes First Birthday Giveaway! Click on the link below and comment, entering to win a Longchamp tote bag which sells for $145! I have to say there are already tons of comments, I can't imagine how many there will be by next Friday. Don't miss your chance to win this classic fashion staple.

Good Luck!

Today's quote comes from American author, Og Mandino. This is such an amazingly. strong quote and I will try and take these words and live by them. I know I find myself guilty of judging others at times, this is a habit I am looking to break. You should never judge someone when you have no idea what their situation in life is. Plato said, "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." He couldn't be more right, we all know life isn't always easy and some people have it a lot worse then others. So the next time you have a negative thought about someones actions, think for a second, "Maybe they are fighting their own battle."

I've learned that when you practice being a genuine good person, it has the power of making someones day. It could be as simple as smiling at someone, or holding the door open for someone. They may not say, "thank you" or smile back, that's ok. Life isn't about getting a pat on your back from others saying, "Hey, you're such a good person." The reward is a feeling you share with yourself, deep down inside your heart, knowing that you are being the best you.

Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.

This was such a great post. I've often felt that it is much harder to be kind than it is to be mean, and you might not get acknowledgement, but at least you know that you did the right thing and were kind. Definitely refreshing to read a post like this. Have a great weekend!
