Yesterday at lunch my boyfriend and I had a long discussion about how important it is to be yourself, about how one must be a unique individual. After all, we only get one shot at this, so why wouldn't we be who we wanted to be.
I think often times people get to wrapped up in trying to conform, winning the approval of others, trying to one up someone for their own satisfaction. At the end of the day, what matters is that you love what you are doing, that you enjoy the people and things around you, and that drama and pettiness are definitely not worth your time. Smile more, love more, be passionate and most importantly be yourself.
Sorry for the rant.
Enjoy.
Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else. ~Judy Garland
